DEADLINE: MAY 2, 2022 “We've established a broad Innovator in Residence Program to support innovative and creative uses of our collections that showcase how the Library relates to and enriches the work, life, and imagination of the American people. A.I.R’s have a unique opportunity to shape the contemporary/historic dialogue surrounding Latinx Art & Culture. In addition, our A.I.R. receives invaluable resources toward creating a solo/group presentation at NYU.” APPLICATION: https://www.latinxproject.nyu.edu/open-calls LILLSTREET ART CENTER LILLSTREET ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM DEADLINE: MAY 9, 2022 “Lillstreet Art Center is seeking artists who are highly skilled in Textiles arts, Drawing & Painting, or Printmaking & Book Arts for 9-month residencies, beginning September 1, 2022, and ending May 31, 2023. As a collaborative, community-based art center, Lillstreet offers a variety of resources and instruction. The resident artist program enriches our community by bringing artists with unique and refined skills to our educational programming through classes, workshops, public demonstrations, and studio hours. As a resident artist, you will continue to develop professionally and intellectually through contact with department peers and students. This residency includes personal workspace in a group studio, 24-hour access to facilities and equipment, free classes in any of our five departments, paid opportunities to teach and/or assist classes, opportunities to exhibit your work, and a monthly $400 stipend.” NEW ROOTS FOUNDATION LA NUEVA FÁBRICA DEADLINE: MAY 15, 2022 “La Nueva Fábrica is a contemporary art space in Antigua, Guatemala that promotes creative experimentation through exhibitions, public programs and education, residencies, and multidisciplinary workshops. Founded in 1998, the organization holds a permanent collection of historic photography and the artworks of its founder, the late Guatemalan artist Lissie Habie. La Nueva Fábrica’s residency program brings emerging and established artists, curators, and cultural practitioners together to reflect, research, dialogue, create and share across disciplines.” APPLICATION: https://www.newrootsfoundation.org/artist-residency SILVER ART PROJECTS 2022 SILVER ARTS RESIDENCY MAY 22, 2022 Our goal is for everyone to grow throughout their time with us, whatever stage an artist is in when they arrive. At Silver Art, growth translates into expanding practice and amplifying impact. For up to 10 months each year, artists in the cohort can devote resources to creating new and different artworks without the impedement of the expense of studio space in New York City.
